Building a carport with LVL by Stora Enso

A residential block situated in Vantaa and built in 2018, had its carport built with pre-cut -products. All the wood products were delivered ready coated and ready machined to their final shape. In the carport were used:

Over 700 m2 ready coated boards
160 pcs of S grade LVL beams cut to length and ready coated
About 250 rm ready coated gable board

Pre-construction products and solutions

In pre-construction, ready machined pre-cut products and ready coated pre-coat products are used. The benefits of pre-construction include efficiency and systematic planning. The speed of construction is enhanced and the end result is dimensionally accurate and of high quality. Systematic planning ensures that the budget is not exceeded in framework construction

Pre-cut products are wood and board products that have been cut to length and machined to their final shape. They can be marked with the desired markings, packed structure-specifically, and distributed at the worksite to the relevant working areas or floors of the building. All pre-cut products can be delivered ready coated and fireproofed. In addition, connection parts can be installed on glulam beams at the factory.

Ready coated products

Similar to other wood products, pre-cut products can also be delivered coated in accordance with each customer's needs. Ready coating makes construction easier, especially in winter when painting cannot be completed on site.
