PUUMERKKI ENDS ALL PURCHASES FROM RUSSIAN SUPPLIERS

Puumerkki Group has decided to discontinue its imports, sales and further processing of timber raw materials and products of Russian origin. This decision was reached as a consequence of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, and it applies to whole Puumerkki Group operations in Finland, Estonia and Latvia. We will, however, accept deliveries by Western owned companies operating in Russia, to the extent they will be available.

Puumerkki condemns the Russian invasion of Ukraine, as we promote peace and stability. We comply with all sanctions imposed and guidance provided by the EU and the Finnish government, therefore, beginning 3rd of March 2022, Puumerkki terminates all cooperation with Russian businesses entities.

Existing orders will be handled and delivered on a case-by-case basis. We will follow the development of the situation, and will inform our customers and partners immediately, if we foresee any issues with our deliverables. We try to ensure our customers' business continuity by seeking new suppliers and providing our customers with alternative solutions and products.

Puumerkki has also decided to donate 25 000 euros to support Ukraine via the Finnish Red Cross.
